Privacy, security, accessibility, inclusion, data, explanation, peer review, and procurement evidence should shape design from the beginning and be revalidated against the production system. People need notice when automation affects a service or administrative decision, understandable reasons appropriate to the impact, and a meaningful way to challenge an outcome. Human reviewers need the authority and evidence to change the decision.
